The KEFALLONIAN FETA CHEESE, XEROTYRI or KEFALOTYRI, both products of the mountainous area of the island, are famous in the whole world for their unique, fantastic taste.
Also, keep in mind to taste GRAVIERA, MYZITHRA, STOUBA and YOGURT. The OLIVE OIL of Kefallonia is of high quality and the Kefallonian HONEY is known for its unique transparency, taste and aroma.
It is worth buying one or two jars filled with the Kefallonian herbs such as LAVENDER, ORIGANO, SAVORY, SAGE, MINT and a head of GARLIC. If you are thirsty, taste SOUMADA, a sweet non-alchool drink made of bitter-almond.
